EXCLUSIVE: Sources close to the production have informed FilmFront that DC Studios is set to expand their Chapter One slate with a Human Target series currently in development.
Tom King (Batman, Mister Miracle) has been working on the project since early this year and will serve as the series writer. The search for a showrunner is still ongoing, along with the search for an actor to portray the Human Target.
James Gunn and Peter Safran, co-chairs of DC Studios, will executive produce the series. DC Studios declined to comment on the story.
Human Target, also known as Christopher Chance, is a DC Comics character created by Len Wein and Carmine Infantino. He is a private investigator and bodyguard who assumes the identities of people targeted by assassins, using his exceptional disguise skills and combat prowess to protect his clients.
The character has been featured in various comic book series, as well as adaptations in television and other media.
